I can't dedcide but I can say Season 1 was the best and Season 3 was the worst
and I liked 2,4,5 finale with mixed feelings

4, Tirek and Discord both were great and interaction between them was pure gold
5, alter universe were interesting,starlight,future of mane 7,no toy shill, just story of ponies

Season 1 set a really good foundation, and most of its episodes were about character interactions, which made the show super comfy and chill.
Season 2 started focusing more on single characters rather than the interactions between them, which was jarring as it started to come across as selfish and anti-friendship.
Season 3 is always going to be disliked for its half size and clusterfinale. There's a few really good episodes in here, but too few.
Season 4 is where episodes started to feel less interchangeable and more like an ongoing, coherent story. A good half the season is about either the main key arc or lesser arcs like Discord and those Olympics.
And season 5 was the episode where shit got done, with multiple characters making significant progress on their own aspirations and dreams.
The show's changed, but not for the worse, I don't think.

I love finales of 2nd, 4th and 5th seasons for different reasons, so I can't really compare them. Season 3 finale could've been awesome, if it wasn't rushed into one episode. Season one finale didn't felt "finalely" enough to me. A good, comfy episode, but a meh finale.
