I'm not sure. I'm still working that out. On the surface, she's cute, her voice is amazing, and she seems pleasant. She's become a strong, stable, character with the occasional outburst of rage when she gets frustrated. She's also pretty independent and has direction in life, which is something I like. I like a girl who doesn't require a lot of maintenance, because I'm the same way. I have my goals in life, and I don't want to give everything up it just to make myself convenient for someone, and I would hate for my partner to do that for me. All this would be worth putting up with her anger issues. So, on the surface, there's a certain level of compatibility. I feel like a relationship could work, and there's simple attraction. She's someone I would be happy to wake up to every morning.
Going a bit deeper, I feel like we would both have something to offer each other. Sunset has a blemish on her history, and she doesn't want to really talk about it. She has a group of friends who don't just accept this fact, they completely forgive and overlook the fact. I think she'd want the same in a companion, someone who treats her for how she is, and has no reason to bring up her past, either in a positive or negative light. I could a person she could be around and never feel like she has to walk on egg-shells. Conversely, I think she could help me better myself. Her stability would help me from oscillating between extreme lows and highs. She's driven, positive, and accepting. She'd be a good inspiration for me to do my best, and she'd be a good source of affection. I've got a lot of pent up cuddling that I need to get out.
Also, I think we'd have the same expectations for the relationship. It wouldn't be for pragmatism, status, or romanticism, it would be with the intention of making a strong, deep, emotional connection and a safety net.
I don't see this level of connection happening with any of the other ponies.
