Considering that Luna's return is pretty recent, yeah, I think she remembers it just fine.

Being in charge of Equestria's well-being, she can't have travelled around on adventures a lot and must've had a fuckload of political stuff to attend to at all times. Agents like Twilight probably did all the adventuring on her behalf.

Physically? The "normal" poni in the show have stubby little limbs and chubby little round faces and tend to look like little kids. She's tall and leggy with that long lovely neck, and her face just a bit longer--somehow the artists have made her look more human, more horse-like, and more like a woman, all at the same time.
I'm not sure we've seen enough of her personality to say whether we find her attractive. Her public persona, so very proper, so very diplomatic, and at the same time maternal where some other characters are concerned--it does make me think about fucking her silly and making her squeal like a schoolgirl.
