Lumberjacks is a grey area and I have met less of them than I have planters. Mostly just family members, and they're all hard working and relatively intelligent. You need proper education and pratical experience to be a proper forest ranger, period. The pass rate for most forest ranger schools last time I checked was something like 30%. Sure there are petty, lazy assholes who are rangers, but that goes for every kind of employment.
