Thoughts?
Blatant cash-grab aside, that Old Lang Syne rendition made me genuinely feelsy.

They've all got original lyrics, which I didn't expect, and it's all pretty good desu.
Applejack and Spike had the best songs.

>"This holiday season get those hooves up! Your favorite jews bring you yet another cash grab!"
>"For the low low price of 24.99 plus shipping and handling, you'll get to hear your favorite Hasbro owned characters sing cheerful holiday tunes!"
>"Featuring lyrical accompaniments by Nickelback, Creed, 3 days grace, and Black Gryph0n!"

Is this a DVD exclusive episode?

It's a Christmas record, not an episode.
I liked everything but the terrible "12 days of Christmas". Yes, even the shit song about coal by the button mash wannabe was better than that. I'm a pinkiefag but her voice sounded off and it was a pretty stupid song. Applejack and Fluttershy had the best two songs hands down.

+1 for Days Gone By.
I also really like the extended Heart Carol. I'm a sucker for chamber choirs.

Thank you my friend!

Y-You too.

Yeah, the overuse of sound effects were a bit too much for me.
I get that it's for kids, but still. I remember what I was like as a kid, and I would have easily preferred Auld Lang Syne to that.
It sucks for not having any Sunset Shimmer

>When family cannot be here....
Why are they pushing the dead parents so hard lately, have they no mercy for our feels?

Actually listening to it again, I disagree. I get that many would find it annoying, but that finale was just so jubilant and energetic, that I couldn't help but find it uplifting.

No.
I found it pretty dreadful throughout, and I usually like Ingram's stuff. I listen (in secret) to the Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games OSTs a lot. It had a sort of 'contractual obligation' feel about it.
That said, I did agree with one Anon who suggested AJ's Old Lang Syne should be the theme tune we all sing when the show ends and /mlp/ shuts down for good.
I didn't really like it actually. I thought most songs were pretty shit, which I is strange because I like pretty much every mlp song except the country ones.
