/Trash/ is pretty much the old /mlp/ with a couple of other things here and there.
It was nice knowing you /mlp/... But I have transcended.

I don't think the presence of porn eliminates show discussion, but I do know that there are a lot of people who hate the show and only hang around because of the porn. Now that the porn has its own place, maybe they won't disrupt show discussion threads as much.

Once upon a time /mlp/ was unmoderated, but we we're doing great on our own. Sure every once in a while some bullshit got posted and maybe a raid or two would happen.Until people realized we were untrollable. It was glorious. One day, /mlp/ thought maybe there should be rules for the board, and that's when someone came up with the great idea to make it a safe for work board. Fags from ponychan flooded the new sfw board and despite our best efforts we couldn't fight them back. All of our counter posts got banned, our beloved generals being deleted left and right, and slowly but surely, we had to get over the fact that our beloved board was never the same. It was like coming home for the first time after a relative has died. It felt cold, empty, and not the same. Ponychan continued to flood the board and are now integrated within our shadows.

Oh, that. I know about the Scruffening, but really, /trash/ is the closest we'll probably ever come to having porn back on /mlp/. I realize this place is our home, but we haven't been able to post porn here for a while now and there's finally a place on 4chan to put it. At least we have that. And as I said, those who hate the show- those who only care about the porn anyway- now have a place on the site to appreciate what they're here for.
For a long time, it's been an uphill battle to say anything about MLP's current seasons without someone screaming "it's all shit". If those people go somewhere else, we'll be able to have a halfway civil conversation here- and that'll open the door to critique of new episodes that's balanced and acknowledges the good with the bad, because there'll be fewer people taking an extreme stance defensively.
