That's where the magic is, AiE is like pokemon, down to its core its pretty much the same shit over and over, but it changes what needs to be changed to create something that feels fresh yet familiar, AiE in a nutshell is "10001 ways to fuck a pony", and each way ends up being its own story, this is why people don't get tired of it, and Anon is our own OC donutsteel self insert, you can't find stories like these anywhere, and when you combine this with the fact that most of /mlp/ is bitter, lonely young men who just want some love but will likely never find and can't do nothing but daydream about finding Equestria, you can see why people would rather invest their time on that, it doesn't mean its the only kind of story allowed though, its just that people find more enjoyment on a faceless protagonist than a canon or non canon pony character

It's an image board with a text comment function and a variety of themes to chose from for making reading comfier, plus an active live audience to get direct feedback from. I would assume that GR 15 will still apply even though it would almost certainly just be text. Regardless of that, I recall some of the suggestions from the /lit/ thread being to allow general fiction and not just fanfiction so even if it doesn't allow MLP-related stories I'm a bit excited to stretch my original fiction writing in a similarly open and live environment.
