Cranky and Pinkie became friends at the end though, so it would make sense that Twilight would re-think her stance on the issue.
Also, Cranky was new, so for all anyone knows he's always been like that, while the last thing Twilight heard from Moondancer was her inviting her to a party, it makes perfect sense why Twilight would want to investigate this change in behavior.

Also, I don't think Twilight necessarily hates Pinkie Pie, but she gets easily frustrated with her friend's antics (especially when Pinkie herself has a hard time explaining herself when an explanation is needed).
