The other was not and came out of nowhere, plus assuming it was Nightmare Night is some kind of actual "monster", hence fear.
Think about it in real life scenario, if someone said "your town is about to be attacked by psychos in masks with chainsaws" you'd be like ok...well we gotta deal with this shit I guess, however if you were in a haunted house you assumed/knew was all fake and suddenly a bunch of actual psychos in masks showed up and started chasing you with chainsaws for real you'd shit your pants
