They made it tron like because of the movie and left it that way. Everything is black with neon highlights on the indoor part. Now at the beginning they let kids "build" the car you'll be riding virtually which does nothing but take up time. Oh and also sponsor branding every few feet.

They completely redesigned it, did away with the whole test crash dummy aesthetic, and added a lot of unnecessary interaction with the queue (the area where you wait in line) like touch screen games and shit. And before you can ride after all the waiting in line they take groups into a separate room where you "design" your car based on speed, safety, aerodynamics, etc. Then during the actual ride you're "riding" the car you designed. So basically they added a bunch of bullshit to placate people during the long wait and then went overboard with it. And it breaks down near constantly.

Yeah Animal Kingdom is pretty forgettable. They have the Safari, Dinosaur, some Nemo stage show, a Lion King dance show with some pretty cool animatronics, the shit Bugs Life show, Everest, a water raft ride I never remember the name of....They actually have quite a lot but nothing particularly memorable. It's a nice park if you have annual passes and just want to chill though since it's the least crowded of them all.

Usually you can do two of Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios in one day (I usually do AK and Epcot).
They're making progress with Avatarland (you can see some of it from the parking lot), but that won't be open till next year.
Then at Studios they're starting on Toy Stpry Land and Star Wars Land in 2016. They're taking out what used to be the backlot tour, Lights Motors Action, and Streets of America (Where the Osborne Lights are) to do it.

Personally I think they fucked up big time with the timing of it. Sure there is going to be a new movie coming out in the next year or so, but no one cares about it anymore.
They are also adding a new night time show for Animal Kingdom called "Rivers of Light," which will use pontoon boats and lasers (as fireworks will scare the animals), and I heard from one of the tour guides that they are planning on doing night time Safaris in the future for Killimanjaro Safari.

I like to think Dash and AJ would try to compete with eachother as to who is toughest but are shown up by Anon on all the rides.
