I really liked the first season, but then in the second I found they really played jump rope on Rick's attitude towards his grandkids. The entire first season he was slowly growing closer to them, and then in the second season he seemed to just reset and forget all of that development. Not to mention he was kind of all over the place during the season regard his feelings for them.
Oddly enough though every other character was developed pretty well.
The last episode was pretty great, and I'm hoping they actually go somewhere with it instead of just resolving it all in one episode.

I try not to mindlessly hate things in general, Anon. There have been several issues of the comics that I've enjoyed, and if you're behind the storytimes, thank you.
This arc reminds me in structure and execution of very, very bad capeshit. Worse yet, unlike entertaining dumb capeshit, the problems with characterization and motivation were there since the beginning of the arc and will forever remain unaddressed. Just to name one example, why should the nominally sweet and naive Radiant Hope convince a down on his luck Iron Will to join her treasonous conspiracy by offering him the chance to remind everyone why minotaurs were once feared? There is a lack of internal logic and consistency that I find upsetting.
I'm a cape fan, too. I enjoy pone because it's different.
