Where we try to make in-universe backstories for GBF/Try original units
hardmode:don't put Build/Try/Kamiki Burning into G Gundam
>>13588934
GM Sniper K9 is a GM Sniper hijacked by Zeon and used as a testbed for a separate backpack piloted by a second pilot.
all the gundam shows are in-universe shows of the Build Fighters series so any of the custom units appeared in those
Beargguy-san is a highly-modified civilian MS built from an Acguy's frame for marketing stunts, that had to be jury-rigged into battle in a pinch, like the museum Guntank from F91.
Ok /m/aggots, I gave your shitty gundam mecha shit a try,,,
HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME WHY IS THIS SO FUCKING EPIC I LOVE MECHA LIKE WHY ARE THE CHARACTERS SO FUCKING GOOD WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD OF THIS ABSOLUTE MASTER-FUCKING-PIECE IS THIS 9/10 MATES LIKE WHY IS THIS SO SSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.
I AM BECOME GUNDAM, DESTROYER OF WORLDS.
>>13588933
> I AM BECOME GUNDAM, DESTROYER OF WORLDS
Wrong Gundam.
>>13588941
Mustached mecha and piloted by some queer brown guy. I don't think that would work for most western audiences.
Is OP a newfig from /v/ that crept here by means of getting trolled on /a/?
Anyways, AWotT is shit.
Has this ever been done well?
It seems like they're either horribly tacked on or ridiculously cheesy. Or both.
>>13588818
Big Duo was rad as fuck
Shin Getter had pretty cool wings. Wing TV was also a neat design before they went full retard with the EW design
Hate all you want, but you know that you thought that this was cool as shit when you were kid. It's even got feathers.
Have you ever watched a show for a single character /m/?
Pic very much related
ITT: Haman
this thread would get more replies if you changed it for "have you ever watched a show for a single robot /m/?"
go make it on /a/
Let's have a thread for /m/ politicians
He cares about freedom more than most modern politicians, he's an asshole, but I'd choose him over a lot of other people.
>>13588328
Most underated snake was also a based president I bet.
Just imagine a Tetsujin with people controlling it from inside.
No more debate about hiw to control mecha REALISTICALLY.
What point are you trying to make?
Didn't you get told to go to /tg/ last thread
What are some other good remote controlled mecha anime anyway?
Can anyone link Kamen Rider recommendations charts? Also is Drive a good starting series? I really loved the designs I saw in promo pics.
It's decent. There isn't really anywhere that you can't start, short of Dickeido, since the shows are largely designed to attract the attention of kids (many of who start watching with any given series).
Crossovers rarely/never impact story events, except when they're explicitly used for movie promotions. They don't start mattering until Dickeido or so, though they've happened in the past before (Ryuki and Agito, Den-O and Kiva, Den-O and Dickeido, Den-O and fucking everybody else).
>>13588194
Thanks. I'll be sure to avoid those crossovers you mentioned then.
>>13588186
>Can anyone link Kamen Rider recommendations charts?
There is no need for one.
>Mostly every installment of the franchise is a self-contained story with a different protagonist, set of villains and plot, so you can pick any one you find appealing and start there. The original Kamen Rider series and manga, V3, Black, ZO, Kuuga, Kabuto, Double and Fourze are usually recommended as good starting points.

If you do not take control of the thoughts, then the best choice for мecha this joysticks or transmission system?
I take control of the thoughts
>>13588092
Transmission System or Mobile Trace System.
Joysticks has never really made sense as a way to control the complex arm movements made by a mecha. With guns it's arguable that macros are used for control, but with beam sabers and swords it really just doesn't make sense.
>>13588407
>he has never played a mech sim game in his life
poor thing, probably underage.
How is Ideon /m/ ?
Is it good enough to be marathoned? should I watch the full series or the just the movies instead?
>>13588055
>Is it good enough to be marathoned?
I did that with a friend a while back over the course of two days
It was a hell of a fucking trip I'll tell you that
Watch full series + Be Invoked.
>>13588055
Just finished Be Invoked myself earlier, it was really fucking great. New favourite series for sure. Like the other anon said, series + Be Invoked. Go for it.
>>13588055
Ideon is fucking awesome and definitely worth watching in show form. I think it actually uses the episodic format to its advantage in a couple of ways that would be lost in another format.
I'm loving it so far. About to start episode 5. Shougo is cool, and the battles are cool so far. I love the opening song by Kazuki Kato too.
Also, Kiyoko is a MILF. Can someone post that one pic someone posted in a recent Majin Bone thread that's gone now where it shows Kiyoko's ass and Shougo is also in the pic?
Kiyoko's. Ass. Now.

>>13587868
I got you covered family
Ok /m/ i just finished this, it was so much better then what i was expecting from something originally aimed at such a young age range. Then again the dude worked with Nagai so its hardly that surprising i guess. Anyway despite all my favourite characters ending up dead or fucked up, i have a thirsting for more. Are there any other good Ishikawa mecha manga out there or just getter (Or his mazinger stuff as i already read all that).
>>13587492
There's plenty of good Ishikawa mecha stuff if you can read nip. All his other works that have been translated aren't /m/, but are still generally pretty good.
>>13587510
i can read very very basic Japanese so if you know any good ones ill check for raws, otherwise what non /m/ stuff has e done? I just started reading Amon Saga which is pretty fun.
>>13587523
Gale! Beast Machine Corps 203, Seiten Taisen Freeder Bug and Skull Killer Jakiou are his /m/ mangas that I remember off the top of my head.
http://www.mangaupdates.com/authors.html?id=1744
He's done a lot of non /m/ stuff as you can tell from this list. Out of his works that were fully translated, I'd say Makai Tensho and Samurai of the Meiji Restoration were the best, though Eurasia 1274 was also pretty nice. If you want raws, best places to check are randomraws and nyaa, assuming that Ishikawa...

I've read some time ago that Yzak's voice actor was quite close to Sunrise but there was a scandal during the airing of Mai Hime that made Sunrise upset, removed the character from the sequel and cut all ties with his voice actor.
Can anyone tell me the details?
>>13587474
He was in the sequel. Just not involved in the plot as much as last season.
>>13587474
Considering all the roles Seki Tomokazu has done, smells like bullshit.
>>13587474
Who's this qt?
FOR THE MAN!

>>13587377
There was a time when the manga was important.
>>13587377
Thanks for all your hard work. I always download your releases and believe me they make my days.
>Flashman
I have been waiting literally since Deadfish went under for someone to sub this show, thank you
Finally finished Unicornholy shit that was fucking retarded. that wasn't canon was it?
>>13587279
Sadly, every animated work is canon.
Yes, even Unicorn, which makes no fucking sense.
Gundam isn't really anal about canon, so you really shouldn't care
Yeah. It is.
But in the end, it meant literally nothing considering how big of a mess late UC is.
Time for more Gavan! We hope you enjoy it.
