Does /m/ remember Cosmic Break? The game with the robots and the shooting and the tits? Some of you like that, right?
Apparently some kind of sequel or something for it launches in a few days.

Fuck off your shilling Tempura

Liked it, until zero and all that crap; plus the lousy as hell 'let everyone in as they'll shell out cash for the newest shiny rather than buying better internet' ethos that meant you could play your best but even the worst BR-esque player could tear you a new one with a lag jikun, making a mockery of even trying to play tactically or skillfully - why bother when you could have a full team focus-firing on one lag jikun but it would take such a delay that they could kill the team before blowing up themselves...

Fuck off.
Always got to have at least one jackass in the squadron who uses a sword and not a gun, right? Do the Muv-Luv writers actually seriously believe that sword+knife is better equipment for giant robots than gun+knife anything other than situationally, do the characters argue this to be the case in the story?
Instead of providing the actual in-universe explanation as given in UL/ALT, I shall try to present an acceptable alternative argument:
Someone has to carry the specialist armaments. Think of the guy carrying the SAW in a fireteam, or the guy packing the rocket launcher. Clearly those weapons aren't meant to be used to solve every problem you face, they're roleplayers for an ever-changing situation.
>Do the Muv-Luv writers actually seriously believe that sword+knife is better equipment for giant robots than gun+knife anything other than situationally
No
>uses a sword and not a gun
Why not both
The sword isn't even standard equipment for that thing anyways, they have to get them off the Chinese since only Asians and silly European nobles think they're a good idea.

As mentioned by Theodore in the LN, Anette is one pilot out of seven in a squadron out of several hundred dozen squadrons in all of the NVA who may or may not even have their own -77 sword equipment per squadron which has been acknowledged in-story as being equipment only ever imported in small numbers, not widely used, and bound for phase-out some day or another amongst the NVA.
She is also fairly capable at using it the same way Theodore is a "knife expert" - though, as if the finer uses of...

Which Robot Girl would you Zeeto? But seriously, who had idea of turning Mazinger Z into a little girl? I can't imagine an average Japanese granddad who watched Mazinger and the other shows when he was a kid being interested on thisIt's still kinda fun I guess I love the Minerva X episode where it's revealed "she" is an otokonoko and they imply Mazinger is a dyke for Great

The idea of niche + moe has been around for a while and has proven successful before.
This is more just an evolution of mecha musume combined with the former concept.

Here' a question I've been wanting to ask. Are they really "Robot Girls (Androids)" or just human magical girls with classic 70's super robot themed powers? I'm honestly not sure.
And to answer your question, Grenda-san.

>Are they really "Robot Girls (Androids)" or just human magical girls with classic 70's super robot themed powers?
I guess they are androids covered in organic skin tissue like Terminatorthey also have "molestable parts"since their arms are detachable. But who knows since it's a gag anime and nothing makes much sense anyway
Does one of these exist for Kamen Rider? If not would it be possible to make one?

Nope, the villains have no motive, that is a fucking issue

No. And this wasn't even official /m/ ranking when it was made. Plenty disagreed. These guides are complete shit. The image I've attached is the best guide for both Rider and Sentai.

Mechs you liked more than their replacements/upgrades.

It gets a lot of hate nowadays because of overexposure, but I always liked Exia better than 00, especially after it permanently became 00 Raiser.
Being utterly disappointed with IBO exposition galore, insipdid characters and stale plot I got this out of backlog. It's amazing to see that such an overlooked show avoid much of those problems and has an actual understanding of subtlety. While the mecha department is the most unremarkable of any Gundam, the show is unexpectedly well put together, comfy and engaging. How come this bombed so hard in Japan when the WING turd got so popular?
>>13638498
Ratings-wise, the first half wasn't doing that bad. Lower than Wing and G, but not by that much. The main issue is that the models bombed, which led to dropping sponsors, coinciding with that timeslot ending for anime, and then forced to move to the graveyard early morning timeslot.
>>13638509
>The main issue is that the models bombed
I really can't defend them. Most suits are actually either bland, uninspired or ugly. The Leopard and Air Master have to be the most useless and forgettable Gundam units ever.
Also the first 24 episodes were really damn nice, being made of short mini arcs with lots of focus on characters. DREAMS and HUMAN TOUCH are fantastic OP/ED.
>>13638498
>insipdid characters and stale plot
>has an actual understanding of subtlety
You're kidding, right? It's almost as bad as IBO.

MOON of the UNFORGOTTEN
A Captain Future Novelet By Edmond HAMILTON
Curt Newton and Otho plumb the perilous secrets of the Jovian Moon Europa--where Ezra Gurney, friend of the Futuremen, has fallen prey to a mystic cult!
CHAPTER I
The Second Life
The machines hummed and whispered and a man's life changed. He was an old man, with an old man's burden of weariness and sorrow. But now that burden dropped from him and his years dropped from him and he was young again. He felt the hot blood burst along his
veins and the singing excitement in his nerves, the pulse and throb of long-forgotten youth. For youth was his once more and once more a whole universe of adventure lured and beckoned, far-off worlds calling and calling to him. And Ezra Gurney, he who had been old, shouted a glad...

A message went to Earth's Moon, flashing across the millions of empty miles. It went by a secret wave-frequency that only a half-dozen people knew. Back across the empty leagues of the void, in reply to that urgent summons, came a ship, driving hard for Europa, moon of Jupiter. There was a man in the small ship and one who had been a man and two who were manlike but who were not truly human.
The ship came down toward the dark side of Europa with the rush of a shooting star and landed in the rigidly restricted Patrol area of Europolis spaceport. The four came out of it and looked around in the magnificent glow of Jupiter. Then they heard the light running steps and the urgent voice.
