Now that the dust has settled, who is the better character?
Clawshrimpy summoning thread?
Hold on, let me light the VF signal...
>>13684556
Bender, who is clearly the same archetype, just handled with more subtlety and humor.
>>13684556
What the fuck do these two have in common?
How about a thread for best girl?
>>13683252
le ding
>>13683252
How old is she exactly?
Old enough for Muhammad, or what?
>>13684951
>>13684951
I think she's around 10?
.
I have no idea what I'm looking at.
Toku is weird.
>>13682721
Really, Japan is weird.
Toku is basically just anime as far as the writing and plotting goes, it's just really weird seeing anime acted out by 3D meatsacks.
If Zeon isn't evil, why does their name start with a Z?
Checkmate, spacemen.
>>13682577
>Zion
Looks like Cheim is at it again
>>13682577
That's not /d͡ʑioN/

What's this Feddie propaganda?

IT'S HAPPENING
Will it be less of a broken scout rush mess this time?
>>13682203
translate it weebs
>>13682203
Wh ythe fuck are we having /v/ threads that are not /m/ in the least? At least that xeno game has a whole bunch of robots and such, this has nothing except a tank
Why is he so perfect?
PIMPIMUS-SAMA
>>13682071
Because he's more "honest" compared to Haman and Char. No "greater spacenoid good", no "just zeke cause", just "I want to rule the solar system because I can".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMagDqJDcLc
Does /m/ like Heavy Object?
I think it'sfun.
>>13681976
Dropped it at episode 2 because of the awful writing.
Well it's not the worst /m/ show this season at least
The fanservice-y bits look completely out of place, be it compared to the action/badassery moments, be it by the poor translation from LN to animated medium. Really, it feels awkward (to say the least) most of the time.
Other than that, the guys got balls of steel, it's enjoyable, not the best thing out there but could be incredibly worse.
Any mecha that is good at paying attention to the logistics of operating a force of giant robots, from feeding the pilots to fuelling the engines to replacing worn-out parts and keeping them supplied with ammo?
>>13681784
Dai Guard but not for those parts.
>>13681784
Dougram, sometimes.
It also has a bad propensity to treat killing blows to the main mech as blows that take its arm off, and subsequent killing blows as an excuse for J. Locke to show up and completely brutalize everything on the battlefield, and it has a flatbed truck they get in like Episode 15 turn out to be completely fucking invincible, but hey, it still does some logistics.
Patlabor. That show's as grounded as /m/ can get.
The live-action sequel goes even further since it is set in a later time where the mecha are obsolete and the whole unit is basically a white elephant. They are shown to be severely understaffed and under budget. On the meta side, you can tell that they went with this setting to reduce their real-life production-budget.
Did ibo nerf the gundam universe, no beam rifles and no beam sabers, alot of stuff like funnels and bits are gone.
>one AU series does something different
>did it nerf the whole gundam universe?
maybe I can't read but what
>>13681466
>Did 08th nerf the gundam universe, no beam rifles and no beam sabers, alot of stuff like funnels and bits are gone.
>>13681477
Some people have a really strange lack of perspective
What makes something /m/?
>>13680591
Anything mechanical at any point of the series duration
eg Pokemon is /m/ because of that episode where Team Rocket tried to get Pikachu WITH A ROBOT
Scientific, fantastic, or cool.

In reality, anything that doesn't get deleted by janitors/mods. So pretty much everything under the sun nowadays.
Dunno if this is best posted here or /v/ but do you know of any games that give you the same sort of feel as Bubblegum Crisis or other 80s OVAs? Big future city, lots of motorcrycles and fast cars, power armour, submachine guns, fighting paramilitaries, corporate guys, their creations and gang members with a decent synth/rock soundtrack and some solid gameplay?
Because I'd fucking kill for something along those lines right now. Closest thing I can think of is Shogo.
>>13680277
Deus Ex? I guess would be the big one. There's that newish Shadowrun game too I suppose
>>13680277
Just play the Bubblegum Crisis OVA game for PS2 on the emulator. Someone translated it already.
>>13680406
You're kidding me. Can't find anything online about it.
Am I the the only one who was disappointed that they actually put in Ayy lmaos and not just left them as a hypothetical thing?
>>13680034
> Am I the only one who...?
It doesn't matter what the question is, the answer is always no. I disagree, but there's plenty who do share the sentiment here and elsewhere.
No. The series was building up to their arrival, and for the most part they were handled really well (actual aliens, not humans in rubber suits speaking English).
While it's not perfect (I would have liked a bit more Quanta action), I think it achieved what it set out to do and provided a satisfying conclusion worthy of the show.
It's just a shame Sunrise hasn't explored the concept further in their newer series.
The Celestial Being movie was better than the 00 movie.
Well it's a bit late for Christmas but still...
Full series batch of Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter.
https://msubsreleases.wordpress.com/2015/12/28/sage-h-s-msubs-gyrozetter-1-51-batch/
>>13679498
Yes. YES!
Can't thank you enough for giving Gyrozetter the love it needed. It's been a long time coming, but you pulled it off when the other subbers couldn't make the distance. Not to give you pressure or anything (since it's still the holidays), but what are you planning to do now? Sasword being back might encourage Chirlind to do finishing touches on the Goldran scripts, if they're not done already.
>>13679516
No clue what Sasword's up to, he pretty much dumps the links on the IRC channel and runs.
As for me, I have the Ultraman Ginga S film to work on, the first ep of the Lensman TV series to check and possibly some Dragonar...
What the fuck did I just watch?
>>13679271
a shit anime
Wait, what. I don't remember this scene, is it from the movie or some extra or something?
>>13679280
It's from Kanketsu-hen - Ano Sora ni Kaeru Mirai de
