Just picked this show up. What does /m/ think of it? I love the Blue, really menacing. Fucking depressing though. I feel like I need a break after each episode. R.I.P Yung.
About halfway through the story begins to trail off into a full blown tragic romance novel rather then a war against bugs.
It's a shame, really, because if it had just kept the focus to advancing ways to combat the blue the series would have probably been top tier.

The synergy of the main actor and the voice actors, I guess. Den-O's also was the first year with good merchandising sales after three years of bad sales (although Decade and on all surpass it). What led to all those sequel movies was how much the DVDs sold. Even a recording of a talk show with the VAs sold more than most non-Den-O Rider movies.

What was your first /m/ show? How did you like it? If you have rewatched it, what's your opinion on it now?
Pic related, it was first /m/ show I ever watched. After it, I watched all kinds of mainstream stuff like Code Geass, TTGL, NGE etc and then Gundams and got into 80s and 90s /m/ stuff, because I really liked how they look. I really liked FMP back then and still find myself sometimes rewatching it. I'm really happy they are going to make new FMP anime soon.
