I don't see a thread for it but is there a way of getting Gundam Battle Operation NEXT? I played the ps3 one.
Hows this one?
I never tried but can you make a japanese account on a ps4?
Is it better then the ps3 one?
Does /m/ even play it?
>>13809481
Played the beta and it sucked. but do they kick foreigners out any chance they get like in the beta? cause shit man that killed the game for me.
Battle Operation Next is shit. Stick to Battle Operation.
I play it as it is the only gundam game I have access to atm just unlocked freedom yesterday, it is pretty shit though especially since you can only do like 3 battles then have to wait 6 hours irl before you can play another 3.

I hope From takes them up on the offer.
THANKS BEST FRIENDS ZAIBATSU
NOW STOP DELAYING THE BLAZBLUE FISTICUFFS YOU DOUBLE CANUCKS

I hope this happens, I've been wanting to play this, but I really don't want to either go though the trouble of buying and modding an Xbox, then pay $300+ for the damn game, or doing the Xbox thing then pirating it. (Most of it is I don't want another console taking up room just to buy it for one game)
It'd probably end up being Xbone exclusive because Microsoft was involved but fuck it, I'd buy one just for it.
I know we all love Bright but isn't he pretty much guilty of a war crime at the end of Zeta? Even though the Titans were a corrupt, oppressive military regime using a colony laser to destroy their entire fleet is tantamount to Gato's use of the atomic bazooka, or Zeon's original use of a colony laser.
I mean, Emma Sheen couldn't have been the /only/ titan who wasn't a jackbooted, violent thug.
>>13805025
wait....
does this mean that neither side really has the absolute moral high ground in Gundam?
>>13805112
Yes, that's why nothing is over.
Nobody has the highground.
>>13805120
Except this guy of course.
So I just finished watching Grendizer, and I have to ask: why do arabs like Grendizer at all? The manga wasn't special, interesting or notable in any way, shape or form, the Toei anime is just as bad. Is it just one of those series that people on /m/ like to try and appear learned on mecha, because there are tons of other series that do everything Grendizer does and more far better. I'm legitimately asking this by the way, so don't try and dismiss me as a boogeyman or something.
Duke Fleed was a rebel fighting against the evil invaders. It was easy to pretend Earth = Middle East and Vegans = US/UK

that Christmas episode was a trip
Because it aired in arab countries at a popular timeslot
Much like Mazinger in Mexico or Gundam Wing in America
Thanks /f/
THAYN EYY THAN
But today's not monday.
Pardon?
Find a flaw.
He was realistically shitty but that didn't make him very interesting.

Is that a bionicle?
Holy shit, Nagano's birthday was a week ago. Leave it to /m/ to forget about him and flock all over Obari instead.
Still, it's kind of sad when you realize that the majority of prominent mecha designers are already near their 60's and older and the newer generation doesn't have as many great designers.
Obari is cooler than Nagano.
>>13807397
Neither him nor Obari are particularly good, though at least Nagano doesn't have the obnoxious "one of us" thing associated with him like Obari does.
>>13807503
Not really, no.
>>13807537
This is wrong.
How can one start learning about the universe and lore of Battletech?
I know basically nothing aside from the fact that there are clans and silly looking mechs.
sarna.net
/tg/ has a BT thread. Its OP contains links to pretty much everything that has ever been published in connection with it in english.
Novels are usually a decent start, though with the median age around here being 22, you're roughly seven years too old to really get the most out of them.

>you're roughly seven years too old to really get the most out of them.
Figured as much. Is the Universe Guide pdf a good place to start?
Are there any robots besides Combattler, Voltes, and the two Jeegs whose gimmick is electromagnetism?

Gakeen
>>13801930
Megaranger is literally the ELECTROMAGNECTIC squad.
>>13801930
The two other Magnet Robos, Ga Keen and Barattack
Can we appreciate how badass Vile was?
>Wasn't even actually a Maverick, just batshit crazy
>Rides a fucking mech
>Has a shoulder cannon, machinegun fingers and literal exploding knees
>Doesn't take shit from anybody
>Nearly kills X right at the beginning of the game
>Later on he puts Zero in a fucking cage and managed fight off X, only died because Zero went kamikaze on himComment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Him being playable in the spp game was the best shit
>>13801808
Agreed
It's a shame he never shows up again except for a cameo in MMZ 2
>>13801799
what an edgy gm cannon
It was alright
It waspāfekuto
It was alright.
>>13799745
It was entirely unoriginal but done very well.
Who was his love interest? Im still confused to this day.
He didn't actually have one, unless you count Gundam.
Feldt was one sided from her end.
Marina was a maternal figure for him, and he's not a char so that tossed her out.
I know Saji was the love interest.
Marina, technically, but he cared more about muh peace and gundums than that.
Feldt also suddenly developed feelings for him in the movie but that didnt really go anywhere.
>>13783898
I always felt that because of how he was raised and the life he lived, he never developed the ability to "love." He has friends, comrades, and people he cares about and wants to protect, but I don't think he ever understood love on a romantic level.

All I wanted was a fucking kids-aimed Gundam show
I just wanted a story that I knew wasn't going to be as mature (pfft) as a regular Gundam series and probably take the idyllic route in terms of portraying war, and also probably push the merchandise to a tokusatsu-level extent but that was fine. That would have been fine. Because it would have been a simple story focused on having robot fights.
I mean it was aimed at little kids, you can't expect too much. Even shows aimed at kids can be better than the ones aimed at manchildren. I actually believed...

Have you tried SEED? The 11s consider that to be a pretty childish entry.
>>13805989
Build Fighters fills that role.
>>13806024
I mean I got that in Build Fighters but that's really more of a spinoff thing about tournaments. I was kind of hoping for something like Dendoh or Braves but with Gundams and brave defenders of Earth fighting against aliens and shit.
