But Macross on the other hand is still strong.

Do you ever feel like the "classic" Gundam head clashes with the designs of the bodies sometimes? Don't get me wrong, something like this is far from the worst example, but more could have been done to fit the head with the racecar aesthetic. Zanscare suits suits are comprised mostly of round shapes, and the heads, some of which look like they could work as Gundam heads, are made of similar shapes.
