Revolver Blossom
Looking back, I truly believe Gundam 00 probably had one of the best set of soundtracks in the franchise.

How do you guys feel about soundtracks in Gundam?
>>13979556
The only thing consistently good about the franchise.
Even G-Savior has good tracks

Book of interviews with various people regarding 555, Blade and Hibiki
Interviewer is Tanida Shuntarou (谷田俊太郎).
Urobuchi Gen (pg 127-166)
-They reveal that during the interview in the previous book (Katarou! Kuuga, Agito, Ryuuki) Urobuchi had already been hired to work on Gaim, but wasn't allowed to talk about it. It was pretty much just after he'd been...

-The interviewer talks about the surprise of a fruit-themed belt, and compares it to 555's phone. Urobuchi says he's completely fine with 555's phone. Urobuchi says that to him, the belt (and being a rider) has to be something scary, which is something that goes back to the original riders being Shocker mutants, and maybe he's just old but he thinks mobile phones are totally scary; There are plenty of horror stories revolving around them, after all. He notes how pervasive smartphones are and wonders...

-The interviewer mentions how Gaim had a lot of "fears". The fruit of Hellheim, the fear from killing someone, the fear of being fooled by adults, the fear of your own body changing, and notes how this is similar to early Heisei riders. Urobuchi says he's surprised he managed to get away with all this; At the very first meeting everyone told him to tone down the violence. He was wondering what the hell a non-violent tokusatsu hero would be, would this hero make his enemies repent with a catharsis beam?...

-The interviewer asks is he's saying that "safe" stuff is actually not good for children, and Urobuchi says this is precisely it. It's not like monsters are going to jump out of the TV and actually harm people, so horror on TV ought to be exaggerated. It helps children to form mental images to train for real situations where they might actually get hurt. It beats bringing them to the middle east to show them what life is like there, to show them that there are places on Earth where people get...

Because he is cool, and makes for a great visual.
Daily reminder that the '93 MechaGodzilla came the closest to killing Godzilla. If it weren't for Rodan's intervention, it would have succeeded.
>>13978998
He keeps pretending to be Godzilla soToho green lights his projects.
I was thinking what /m/ series had pretty much normal people pilot giant robots that don't really have weird haxxy bs like Zeta's Ghost Shield.
Pic kind of related
Pat's Labour anon

Real by what standard?
Internal consistency?
Real life plausibility?
Least amount of occult or fantasy elements?
Grittiness?
Robot designs?The answer is VOTOMS

You wouldn't by any chance have seen this 70's super robot protagonist?
Can't say I have, sorry. Hey, have you seen this reploid?
Have you seen this girl?
>Kyoji represents old super robot shows
FUCK.
So when does Seed get bad? I'm watching the HD remaster after neglecting it after watching every other Gundam entry. So far I'm at episode 10, and it feels like it's dragging on a bit but over all not as terrible as I thought.

Destiny.

second
>>13977207
The early episodes are actually pretty ok. Things don't even start getting dumb until Kira surives exploding, and then the Cline faction happens.
The real aneurysm-inducing stupid begins after seven or so episodes of Destiny.
I wonder why Newtype-ism only ever developed in combat.
Why hasn't there been a Newtype Tennis star? Or a Newtype pianist?
Why do Newtypes always come from piloting mobile suits?
Was SEED mode ever confirmed as a newtype phenomenon? Seems I remember Coordinators being good at other stuff.
It's possible that they did, and nobody noticed because the Fedration and Zeon only had eyes on their own soldiers.
And there's Lalah, who was a newtype prostitute.
Wasn't there a thing in SRW where Amuro used his newtype powers to win at ping pong?
sunrise here, fuck you.
lol
You guys are only even obsessed with the idea of a Crossbones anime because it shows up in videogames and model kits/toys a lot for a manga series.
>>13977200
I want it because mecha pirates are fucking cool
>>13977200
I just liked the manga. I want all manga I like to get anime adaptations
I never thought this show could top the Hyaku Shiki or dragon fight in bullshit. I want to vomit Particles are now an issue? Everybody in this show is throwing out super attacks without a single mention to their particle consumption. What a waste
Crossbone's first appearence and tryon are the only good things in try other than fumina doujins fucking fight me
TFW there will never be a good second half of a Gundam franchise ever again.
>>13977125
Note that it ONLY affects rival suits. The Team Tryhard never has to worry about particle consumption.
How does a shoe go from decent to complete garbage in such a short span? Man, this fucking show.
Well, accidentally stepping in shit shortens the lifespan of your average shoe by a dramatic amount. Maybe that's what happened to his footwear?
>>13977115
Yeah, bro - fucking cell phone auto grammar checker. But seriously man, this show looked so promising in the first two episode, now this lol.
>how does a shoe go from decent to complete garbage in such a short span?
See, when a man decides to go full Hitler, it kinda ruins a lot of his charm.
So to all you would-be anime protagonists, please do us all a favor and not go full Hitler.
Unpopular opinions threadI actually really like "Teknoman". Not as good as uncut Tekkaman Blade but I think the dub holds up fairly well with good voice acting and excellent music. The only major problems I have with it are D-Boy and Evil's backstory episode being dropped for no reason and Levin's relative lack of development thanks to the gender change.
Dubs are for little children and people who can't read. Original audio is always best audio, not just for anime/Japanese stuff, but for everything.
This is an unpopular opinion, apparently.
Brain Powered is in my top ten mecha series.
I enjoyed Gundam 00 Season 2 more than the first season.
I never saw the appeal of Gurren Lagann.

Cowboy Bebop being the exception.
People have forgotten about this. It was just another forgettable pop-corn flick.
Just as an example: The death of Han Solo had zero cultural impact. No one talks about it, or parodies it. Imagine if he had died during Return of the Jedi as originally planned. That scene would be deeply remembered and talked about for decades.
>>13976948
>No one talks about it, or parodies it.
As the old saying goes: 'Now bitch, you know that's a lie'
The web ran through quite a bit with that and making fun of Kylo Ren
>>13976948
>Imagine if he had died during Return of the Jedi as originally planned. That scene would be deeply remembered and talked about for decades
Debatable. For one, we never really get circumstances of his death. Simply that Ford wanted it. This isn't like the originally planned death of Lando, where we know they went as far as actually writing it and were all set to do it.
For all we know, people would have looked back on it as a clumsy move done for shock value. It's all in the execution.
I haven't even seen this yet.

>dat blue and orange
the films were made at different times, Star Wars was pretty revolutionary and defined the popcorn flick genre, these days the industry is bloated with sci fi and superheroes out the ass, TFA was a solid movie that continued what its predecessors started but hardly stood out compared to something like Avatar or District 9.
