Hello /m/. My current home ISP blocks 4chan and I have to VPN through, so I'll just leave this here.
https://msubsreleases.wordpress.com/2016/05/17/gridman-01-02/
Would be appreciate if you could read the post, but the tl;dr would be 'please don't expect a regular schedule or fast release'
Oh shit subbed Gridman
>>14242875
Thank you for the release!
Considering how much Tsubaraya goodness we've been getting from CR, a slow/irregular schedule is probably a wise idea...

Godzilla does WHAT
Godzilla gets pimped by Eva man.
I never knew he and Anguirus are that close.

Godzilla Likes To Roar is a triumph of monster literature.
Due to a recommendation from my sister I just finished Gargantia, which is half part-Post Apocalypse ARIA, 1 Episode of Transhuman Debates, and a finale of fighting a cult based on a mech. Did /m/ like it?
Also, am I the only ome who got Orbital Frame vibes from Chamber?
Squid is also people!
Shocking truth!
>>14242628
>am I the only ome who got Orbital Frame vibes from Chamber?
The similarities end at "AI" and "floating." It's got the same "vibes" as any other mech with these qualities.

SOMEONE FUCKED IKA.
This is the result.
Why do people not like the Red Frame?
>>14242474
edgy
katanas
muh japanese steel folded over 100 times
the base red frame w/ flight pack and Kai are fine, but when you get to shit like Dragon it gets a bit ridiculous
The only people who don't like Red Frame and its variants are just morons who can't understand how much of a genius Lowe is.

Curnchyroll has added Kyatto Ninden Teyandee to their catalog, following up the addition of Samurai Pizza Cats last year. From the look of things, the subtitles have been improved from the DVD release. No more blatantly censored gay joke in episode 1, for example.

>the subtitles have been improved from the DVD release.
Well shit, man. I was thinking about purchasing that DVD set while the price is still relatively low. They're really that bad?
>>14241990
>They're really that bad?
Here's a post I made last year that gives some examples of problems I had:
http://digitalshokunin.tumblr.com/post/124751308028/why-retranslate-teyandee
I've only watched the first episode of the Crunchyroll release so far, but I already noticed many improvements just within that one episode.
So how does it compare to Pizza Cats?
So the Dai-Guard is a real robot that's design is based off of super robots, or does it eventually go off the rails into super robot territory?
>>14241689
It's honestly the most "real" robot show ever made.
>>14241689
It's just a plain ol' super robot. The problem is that you've never watched a super robot show so you have no idea what that means.
>>14241689
It's Awesome type.
That said you really need to learn to stop taking these "TYPES" literally. There really isn't such a distinction

The more digital fx progress, the less we will see traditional toku and it's sad. I recall more than a couple Millenium era films utilizing it and how glaring it looked in comparison to practical. How noticeable will it be in Resurgence or the upcoming Gamera release? Both are supposed to be a mix of practical and digital fx. Are we at a point where they can blend well into a marriage instead of oil and water? I'm scared /m/.

>Both are supposed to be a mix of practical and digital fx. Are we at a point where they can blend well into a marriage instead of oil and water?
Don't people praise the first Jurassic Park for doing exactly that?
>>14240537
Go watch Civil War, the giant Ant-Man part.
It's perfect.
It also costs something like $100 millions to make, a sum Japanese simply can't use in movies.
>>14240550
When has Toho done it though?
>>14240566
>$100 millions, a sum the Japanese simply can't use in movies
Isn't that the point though?
Just finished Neon Genesis Evangelion. Saw EoE and the Rebuilds. I hated the third Rebuild film and loved both anime endings. What did you weebs think?
not enough lewd shinji
>>14240455
I really didn't find any of the characters desirable except Misato cuz she's a cutie.
I still think that Eva is best enjoyed if you start by watching 26' through to the end of the tang scene, then the entire series, then EoE in its entirety.
Out of context tangification would compel anyone to watch the whole series just to know what the fuck just happened.
At least, that's how I unintentionally introduced myself to Eva. Thanks random out of nowhere channel broadcasting EoE's latter half!
Alright streaming the Getter Ovas starting in 30 minutes

>>14239923

>>14239923
I bought it on Amazon a year ago. Just got Iron Blooded Orphans ost on ebay.

yah I'm pretty sure it works
Why did mecha designs reach their peak so early and why did mecha designs go to complete shit after the 90s?
They didn't. You're just a hipster contrarian that hates anything modern.
>>14239869
I think that there was some really great mecha in the 90s, though most of it was 80s directors and artists "maturing". I personally think that the years between 0079 to Turna A were all pretty great for the most part. And it is not as if we get no good mecha anime and designs now.
>>14239872
How is that not entirely justified?
Sayla appreciation thread
>>14239867
Get out of the frame Job John, you're ruining the shot.
I like how this is the last thread in the catalog and there are no replies.
>>14239867
We're going to need more Sayla centric pictures. I didn't even see her from the catalog.
