What are some good non-fiction books?
Pic maybe related, I never read it.
I was thinking of reading it. I'm not too interested in partisan polemics though, I hope it's a bit meatier.

Ha. I was just rereading some Harold Bloom and caught a jab at a man named "Pat Buchanan."
Sounds pretty bad.

In a good or bad way?

No, this book is more the antithesis of this (excellent) book.

Zinn gets a lot of shit for being extremely biased, but Zinn himself wrote in the introduction that his book is extremely biased (something about a mountain of books leaning into one direction, he wanted to write a book that leans extremely into the other direction). It's an interesting perspective and pretty well-written but he has to bend reality a bit to make his perspective work. I'd still recommend reading it, but take it with several grains of salt.
