>read this book assuming that Achilles gets shot in the ankle at the end

I got fucking meme'd, lads.

But it explains to you what's going to happen to Achilles and to Troy, so Homer doesn't have to explicitly narrate it

It's funny that most posters recognize the meme trilogy as such yet they still don't see the biggest meme of all, that being "start with the Greeks"

Can anyone recommend me an audible Iliad release? I'm going through some shit with my eyes and figured the Iliad would be a good thing to listen to since it was spoken in the first place. There is a sale going on and there are a fuckton of releases.

Can't help you there, but if you want something similar there's a wonderful audiobook of The Odyssey narrated by Ian McKellen on The Pirate Bay.

I'll probably go with that for the Odyssey, wish he did the Iliad as well.

Yeah. I don't think there are really any unabridged Iliad audiobooks out there. If you don't mind it being abridged, there's one by Derek Jacobi, though, but I have no experience with it beyond this sample:

I've seen some on audible that say unabridged. Some of the reviews for those have angry people saying that they are actually abridged even though it says unabridged.
