This is some fancy shit. Some of the best writers in the English language were using them. Anybody here writing that magnum opus with one, /lit/?

They're an excellent distraction to avoid actual writing.

I have a nice fountain pen I use to write a journal because it's comfy and therapeutic. I've not used a dip pen though I'd like to get one for art / maybe some calligraphy.
Writing an actual novel with it (or any pen, really) just seems horribly ineffective to me, though. Word processors are just better in almost every way for a writing/editing process for speed, the ability to duplicate/back up copies, and the ability to change things quickly.
Calligraphy pens are only useful for writing either Japanese or Chinese
