You must read and write everyday if you wish to write adequately.
You should read fantasy books that you enjoy and that will help you imagine your imaginary world, magics and concepts. You should also read classic novels to understand what good writing is.
If you have trouble expressing your worlds or fantasy concepts, draw them, web them, plot them.
This will make it easier.
Also, have fun, try your best to finish it, and dont fucking think about making money with it. That will just distract you.
Good luck .

Try to make your magic system consistent. If its thing is that its inconsistent, then fine, but if its supposed to follow rules, try to keep track of those.
Start with a quest. With a series if adventures to get items or find new characters or whatever, to complete the quest. Its a formula, but you sound like you are looking for the broadest possible advice and don't know the habits of writing.
Put plot points that interest you try to connect the plot points. Write down all the big, important parts in index cards or pieces of paper that you can move around experiment with.
if it's a real world-slash-fantasy world combo ala narnia/potter make sure those transitions between worlds are full of wonder
even if you've got a consistent magic system make the discovery/first use of the abilities thrilling
use tiny details to refract/magnify/make your world seem bigger/richer than it is
Eat soup. Shit soup. Publish soup.
