Oprah book club tier faggotry. I was given it as a gift from a girl I was in love with. She wrote a note in it and a picture of us together on the 1st page so I keep it for that sentimental reason but reading it is intellectually disappointing. To be honest I am envious of people who can take serious messages from such books.

Even for a popular literature book it is horribly written. I read it in Portuguese and was asking myself how it ever got translated into another language. I would prefer translating restaurant menus instead. I pity the translators.

When I was younger, I used to think he was deep and at least had interesting and incredibly optimistic insights into life that I hadn't experienced anywhere else.
Nowadays I'm deeply ashamed I used to think that, but I guess we're all stupid when we're young. He's just a new age spiritualist author that is popular because he has barely decent writing.
