Why does /lit/ hate this book and Ayn Rands philosophy? I really liked it and I think there's nothing wrong with it. It's nothing evil like socialism or communism.

not her maschositic rape fantasies
Reading it today is cringeworthy.
iterally wrote a book about how she wants to be dominated by a strong man.
>>8234211
Same person.
Its actually interesting. I remember thinking when i was reading the book that the relationships between the man and woman was reminiscent of a romantic victorian novel.
Idealising against all odds romance that never comes to fruition.
both the woman and man cant be together not because the social realities prevent it but because they themselves are stoicly restricting themsleves and thus if they want to be true to themselves they cannot be together..
Its just a really dull build up for erotic purposes.

>!984 is praised by the public yet Atlas Shrugged is vilified
I don't like people
>>8234317
>a great book gets praised
>a lousy book gets shunned by everyone except dipshits
>there's something wrong with society
I hate you free-market libertarian retards so much.
BTW, the rugged individualist Ayn Rand relied on government handouts to make it by.
>>8232949
objectivism is kinda bs. that being said, she was a good writer. i just dont agree with her ideas. she did well with it tho, cant hate her for that.
>>8234384
>good writier
No. Her literary skills sucked dick.
ITT: Leftists who have never read Ayn Rand, or worked a day in their life, insult her books.
>>8234400
Double dubs speak truth. Her characters were cartoonishly wooden and 1-dimensional. Her plots were offensively childish. Her pacing was atrocious. And her style was reminiscent of a wealthy teenager who hates "takers."
>>8234411
>anyone who doesn't like Ayn Rand is a lazy libtard
>proving the detractors right that everyone who likes Ayn Rand is a dipshit
Smooth move, Ex Lax.
Think about it.
Her works are Post-Industrial Aristotelian Logic and English was not even her Native Language.
Zinov'yevna is Patrician all the way.

not an argument
>>8234540
is every conversation you have an argument? is it just the ones where it's an insult directed at you that you leave alone as "not an argument" and shut down inquiry on?
>>8232949
It needs more rape scenes to hold up her shitty writing; like Twilight it's not evil, but, unlike Twilight, which is still shit, it doesn't have enough rape or creeping scenes.

>JOB CREATORS ARE THE BEST THING EVER SO THEY SHOULD BE REVERED AND ENCOURAGED
>ignores the fact that the single biggest job creator/employer in almost any given state is the government
>>8236445
Doesn't mean the government are the most efficient way of harnessing Employees, I like her ideology if it was implemented correctly, unfortunately you get Walmart being the King and paying the servents pennies. That being said I don't think a strong company should be pulled down to allow a weak company that can't compete a chance of survival

I would not be opposed to that.

but really though the government is the biggest job creator
>>8236690
>but really though the government is the biggest job creator
That doesn't really mean anything, though. The number of civilians the private sector employs vastly outnumbers the amount the government does.
Which is the best edition to get?
