It hit me after reading the Karamazov brothers, and I think my main character will be similar to dimity, impetuous, misguided, etc.

Writing for a Russian audience has advantages: those here that can read have few illusions about how the world actually works, you don't have to put on a show by pretending there is "good" or "evil", or any kind of a moral high ground for anyone. Also, no qualms about overt sexuality, atheism or violence.
