>used to read all the time as a kid/young teenager
>started playing video games and forgot reading existed for nearly a decade
>trying to get back into it
>have so much trouble focusing, keep taking out books from the library and then returning them after only reading a few chapters
>suddenly it hits me
>the faster you're getting through the book, as in turning the pages, the more enjoyable it is
>so why not just get large print books? because then it will feel like you are going through the book really fast, because there is much less text on the page
>it's working so far
>feel kind of embarrassed though because large text books are meant for people who have poor eyesight, and I'm taking advantage of them basically because I'm autistic
Has anyone else done this?
tl;dr: I am trying to get myself into reading by using large text books meant for people with disabilities to give myself the illusion that I am reading faster.
