Yo guys, I've been on a major Star Wars kick recently and have gotten pretty interested in the EU. Can anybody make any suggestions about where to start? There's so much EU content and I've there's a lot of shit you need to dig through to find the pearls
Thrawn Trilogy is generally acknowledged as the best I think
99.999999% of the EU is complete ass though

How much have you read?

Thrawn trilogy as actually kind of ass writing-wise.
I recommend Wraith Squadron (Rogue Squadron should technically be read first, but Stackpole is a hard sell and Allston is generally more engaging), Stover's Shatterpoint and RotS novelisation (single-handedly redeems the flick), Luceno's Plagueis, and Jeter's Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy.

>Stover's Shatterpoint
A Mace Windu story. Highly recommended
Remember that a large quantity of the old literature may have been good reading, but it is no longer Canonical with the quasi reboot of Episode VII
