You have zero evidence she's a tranny, why don't you stop bitching about trips. The one thing I'll agree with her on is you shits bitching about trips being more annoying than trips themselves
>>
>>8196170
Marx uses it as a price mechanism because he points out that market exchanges cannot be an imbalanced source of surplus on the basis of use value. In Marx's analysis the surplus value comes from the labour of the worker. He made the thing, the bourgie then sells the thing at an agreed upon price, then the worker gets a pittance of that with the remainder being profit.

>

Hence, we see that behind all attempts to represent the circulation of commodities as a source of surplus-value, there lurks a quid pro quo, a mixing up of use-value and exchange-value. For instance, Condillac says: “[Condillac's Argument]” [8] We see in this passage, how Condillac not only confuses use-value with exchange-value, but in a really childish manner assumes, that in a society, in which the production of commodities is well developed, each producer produces his own means of subsistence, and throws into circulation only the excess over his own requirements.

> But commodities are not paid for twice over, once on account of their use-value, and again on account of their value. And though the use-value of a commodity is more serviceable to the buyer than to the seller, its money-form is more serviceable to the seller. Would he otherwise sell it? We might therefore just as well say that the buyer performs "strictly an act of production,” by converting stockings, for example, into money.

The so-called refutations of LTV always put forward Marx's terms very disingenuously.

That's true in empirical sciences that rely on studies which can be consistently replicated and falsified. But in the humanities, the vast majority of what somebody is positing as the truth is simply that--a postulate. Not fact. Replication is a joke and obfuscation and defense in preferred to opening one's work to falsification.

Those aren't real leftists cause they act in the interest of certain groups rather than the majority. Left wing politics is at it's core pure populism for the whole of humanity or in other words equality for everyone. Nationalism is a left wing concept but now people think it's right wing. Democracy and equal treatment under the law are left wing concepts. Individualism isn't a bad thing there's a limit due to human communities and how society functions. I'm not a socialist but I support mixed economy. I'm not a capitalist cause I know untethered free enterprise ignores the family unit and runs off of profit. I am in favor of local democratic community control of production as an alternative to both free market capitalism and the excessively bureaucratic welfare state. I consider myself a communitarian (no it's not the same as communism)

you think factoring the cost of labour is unique to LTV?

>>8196202

a basic understanding of marginalism adequately explains the uselessness of the concept of surplus value

people might put forward marx's ltv disingenuously but it is also a slightly slippery concept, and phrases such as socially necessary are loose and unhelpful

plenty of people sympathetic to a lot of what marx wrote(myself included) have sadly come to the understanding that it is bunk, modern economics is a rigorous discipline and does not take LTV seriously, it simply doesn't account for pricing well enough compared to marginal theories and market mechanisms

i would generally direct people who think marx might be on to something to critiques by piero sraffa, joan robinson and peter wolff - these 3 don't go over it disingenuously and critique it well

pricing mechanisms of the market don't take away from the worker, the lazy capitalist owner does not exploit labour - they put far more risk up for a business than labour does, surplus value is a fairly useless idea - especially taking into account the poor performance of collective firms in comparison and putting so much emphasis on labour ignores too many of parts of the production process

Then what kind of right do you want? The academic right mostly focuses on the economic, and demands entry to the philosophical as well. Are we talking an older right, traditionalism, of some kind? Most of the right is exactly what you see in America and on campus, so what exactly is you want? I said Donald Trump, because it shows just how far the right has fallen in America, now it's going to be taken even less seriously professionally in the circles you want to be in question.

For now. Historically illiterate Marxists don't realize that history is not linear, but cyclical. The pendulum will swing back, and we're arguably seeing the start of it - thanks to people getting tired of the 'Regressive Left', at last.

Trump has spent less than any other major candidate and won the GOP primaries. Jeb Bush was spending ridiculous amounts and was stuck at 3% support.
>why isn't he spending he self funding his campaign harder
He doesn't need to spend like crazy to win. He's practically living proof that a lot of money isn't needed to gain people's support. It's his charisma and playing the media like a fiddle that are giving him free publicity.

Romney won the GOP primaries. Primaries do not equate general victory. They mean how gulible your base can be, nothing more.
>Jeb Bush was spending ridiculous amounts and was stuck at 3% support.

The problem here isn't about spending, it's about strategy. Trump currently is getting gang banged on all sides of the aisle, every bit of his plump orange ass is being filled with the collective cummies of the Government, the media, the business world, and the international world.

If any time was a good time to fire out ads in states to minimize loss from getting fucked so hard, it would be now. But he's not doing that. If he actually believes he can win based on his primary strategy after every new scandal comes out, he's wrong. Now, this could all change, but right now Trump is shedding potential voters fast and he just doesn't seem to give a fuck, but reports from inside say the entire campaign staff is panicking.

The month of June alone has cost Trump millions of potential voters, I don't think he can survive this non stop gang bang until November arrives.

And he's manipulated people in the past, he knows this. I am positive this was just a publicity stunt gone out of control. After he announced running for president from Trump tower, he moved down on his own fucking elevator giving a thumbs up to the press and released a book for fucks sakes, how much more does the right need.

Anyways, he's at a net loss now, so his plan, if it is a plan, is not working anymore. He's funneling campaign cash into his own companies like mad, with no care if the press finds out.

Going in the opposite direction, is not a certifiable victory. It is another way to alienate voters and lose. The GOP is a mess, has been since George Bush jr, this won't save it. It will kill it.

That's my point.

>That' exactly what I'm saying when I say he hasn't spent a whole lot but kept winning.
And I'm saying the primaries are getting your base to vote for you, not the entire nation. Then it changes. Donald Trump cannot rely on his primary voters only for general election victory, that's losing. Right now he's even shedding his primary voters.
