So where do I start with Hegel? Apparently Clausewitz's On War is better understood if you're familiar with Hegelian philosophy or whatever it's called beforehand.

Yeah I recall reading Hegel said that stuff would basically grow out far beyond it's original context? Makes sense anyways, considering how many revolutions he accidentally started.
And I've heard the Haldane Reforms, which allowed the BEF to be deployed to France two weeks after WWI started, described as "hegelian" just because Haldane organized the British military in a rational and modern manner.
