It is supremely underrated. Prose that rivals some of the greats.
Who am I kidding. Clancy is one of the greats.
Should be on every /lit/ fags bookshelf.

It was written in conjunction with a video game and it really, really shows.

That said, it's a fun little read. Not his best work by any means.

I read it a couple of times in Middle School, but haven't touched it since. I remember it being a fun read. I think there was a sex scene, which satisfied my horny little mind at the time, too.

I thought it was pretty trippy when I found out the ecoterrorists are a real group.

Also the heartbeat sensor thing turned out to be a hoax by some guy who was trying to defraud the army IIRC.
