Has anyone else read this? I was surprised at how good it was. Very bleak and at times, especially the descriptions ofher mental and physical collapseto be depressing.
A mixed bag of messages and readings can be had here.

I thought this too but the title refers to mcguffin of the plot.
Without spoiling it too much I expected Kafka but got something else.
DEFINITELY get Deborah Smith's translation though, as is pic related.

My gf bought it. Shes a ridiculous speed reader yet doesnt read. So to prove a point she chose this and got through it book in one sitting, in front of me, after 2 hours. I borrowed it based on the weird premise and I've just borrowed it.
It could really work as a film. I cannot shower it with enough praise; for contemporary lit I was surprised.
