Which would be fine, if the human body itself were socially provocative. Then it would make sense to shove that into peoples faces so they could stop acting like it doesn't exist or is evil.
...But we already did all that. There is nothing special or mysterious about the human form anymore. All it is, is distracting, because our brain is simply built in a way, that it forcefully demands attention. And that shit is tiring. We live in a culture where hyperstimulation is on the agenda. Pretty much everyone has all the pornography and erotica in the world in their pocket 24/7 and they will still be exposed to it unwillingly in any media that tries to sell them something (which is all of it).
And nudity in art (ESPECIALLY photopgraphy) has simply become an edgy hack job. It has become cheap commercial for itself and is justified by regurgitated and dated social criticism.
No, shoving that six feet tall HD image of a creampied vagina into a gallery isn't art and it is not shocking and it does nothing more than make everyone involved even more jaded. It is doing the exact opposite of what art is supposed to do.
You want relevant nudity? Try children bathing in a lake naked without a care in the world. Or a Saudi woman showing her nipple piercing through her niqab. Or, you know, for a change try to make some tasteful nudes of a trans person.
Not your cheap fucking after-party camera-flash nudes of the "model" you met through a friend of a friends who is a "musician". It isn't original, it isn't intelligent, it isn't exploratory, it isn't new, it isn't art. It's just another way for you to be an obnoxious pseudo.
