I want to read some non-fiction in between tough books.
Can anyone suggest a great biography? Something funny or something about war might be nice. But I guess the subject doesn't matter as long as it's interesting and well-written

Peeling the Onion by Günter Grass is pretty good I've heard, also talks about his experience in the war.

But friend, big works of literature can be taxing on the mind and a taster in between can do wonders for rejuvinating interest. I've read three big novels of the same author in a row now and need something to freshen me up before I finish her oevre. Don't get me wrong though, me taking a break says nothing about Rowling's capability as a writer. But there's only so much 'magic boy growing up'-literature I can take in a row.
