I didn't finish it.

Did any of you?

Thoughts?

I'd give my two cents but I'm not even close to being an avid reader and I don't believe I would have anything of value to say.

If you're /lit/in for the gim-gims, read Borges, or, even a lesser hack like Calvino will suffice.

What're the gim gims. Help

It's alright. Seemed more romantic than frightening, which I hear is common. Not top-notch literature but fairly good art as a whole.

It's printkino.

Interesting experiment in narrative form. It's one of my favorites, but it isn't without its flaws. Like the fact that The Navidson Record and Lude's story clash with each other for dominance and also Zampanó is kind of shitty at writing academically. Though that's probably the point.

I've always been a pussy when it comes to horror. Like, I love horror and all, but after consuming something scary, I'm affected by it for a couple days (e.g., being afraid of the dark). When I was younger it was worse, because I watched a lot more horror, and I was a kid...

Anyway this book did that to me. Also, things seemed to move out the corner of my eye, shit you not.

My favorite chapter is probably the bit about the pornstar that Truant picks up and her dog. Shit was REALLY unsettling.

Spookiness aside it has its literary merit, but then again i don't know too much about sophisticated horror lit.

Yeah that was my fun part for that book too. Really stuck with me for some reason I guess it was meant to in a way. Maybe he did it because dogs are universally loved by people and wanted to show how a nihilistic attitude can fuck shit up. Like she fought her ass off with him for the dog and then killed it in the worst possible way the second she was alone with it for no Fucking reason at all. Fuckwit. I did like the book I think a lot of people on here give it shit and call it a meme but it was just different. Time will tell I guess.
