He "reads" a book a day and does it like this? Heh.
>>
it's honestly not even a bad idea to do what he's saying, as long as at some point you actually read the book.

what he's describing is basically the first step of most speed reading strategies, except he's omitted the part where you actually read the book. because who has time for that? lmao

Reminder that this man is no more autistic than the people on this board who think of reading as "mental exercise".

If you only read books for 'exercise' then Tai's shitty "skim through the book and call that reading" strategy is actually beneficial for you. You don't have to get entangled with pleb details like "the plot" or "the setting" or "the characters". You can get all those juicy little golden nuggets of knowledge that you so desperately desire by just reading the book summary. Have fun "reading" faggots :)

You're looking at a guy with his head up his ass, screaming, "I'm a patrician!"

He's talking about his approach to self-help books.

It has nothing to do with /lit/erature.

In my opinion he's still taking the self-help genre way too seriously.
>>
Books by the foot show that there are around 10 hardback or 15 paperback books per foot. Reading a book every ten minutes it can be concluded that you can read a foot of hardback literature in one hour and forty minutes.
What an age we live in/

He did you a favor because now you won't be so stupid as to not use adblock.

I think self-help books are what he's mainly talking about, but at the same time it gives off the impression that books are just a bunch of "gold nuggets" of knowledge to be consumed or that there's some necessity to reading books. That implication should understandably trigger anyone who draws enjoyment out of reading or who sees literature as an art form. Then again, this is the kind of mentality that self-help books seem to create. Honestly if there's one genre of books that we should just burn altogether, it's self-help books.

>depriving creators whose content you're enjoying of corporate ad money because you can't bear to be bored for 5 seconds of your life
it's your fault that self-published ebooks are a thing.

what the fuck did i just watch?
His claim that a person who skims 30 books in a month than a person who actually reads the whole book knows more is bullshit.

Good enough to read the story, not good enough to read the literature.

I studied Philosophy and read a lot with speedreading tools, but I wouldn't read things that way on which I wouldn't be tested in the next few weeks.

what the fuck is a quark my mulatto
>>
>>8156534

Quarks are elementary particles that carry mass, electric charge, and flavor charge. They interact with each other primarily through the strong interaction but they can also interact through electroweak with W bosons but that goes a lot slower so it happens less often. They form hadrons in combinations of 2 (mesons) or 3 (bayrons) quarks, but they can form weird exotic matter with more quarks than that under bizarre circumstances. You can time reverse them (I forget exactly what you call it but I'm thinking like an s-channel/t-channel flip) to get their respective antiparticle.

I like that you bring up the concept of exercise. Because this man has discovered wonderful loopholes.

Why bother even speed reading when you can look at the table of contents? Much like going through the bother of benching a heavy weight with poor form when you could just load up the bar with 300, then take the plates off and congratulate yourself on your personal record
