The difference between good edgy and bad edgy is that bad edgy thinks what it's doing is cool. Good edgy thinks what it's doing is awful.

Approach what you're doing as "let's write something disturbing" instead of "hell yeah blood and shit and rape everywhere this is so hardcore"
