Yeah, I actually already have most of them myself. I got the 6 or so that are still in print at a store, two online, and four others at a used book store. I'm only missing about 3 or 4 until I have his entire oeuvre, I think. Though I'd have to check somewhere to make sure.

That's a respectable choice--Hawkes is great, and has plenty of novels to read.

Your first statement is understandable, but your second makes me doubt you've actually read The Tunnel, because, of all things it is--strange, offensive, crass--it most certainly is not "laugh out loud bad."
