How it is even possible to reconcile reading while working full time job?
>>
>he isn't NEET

I work 2 jobs, ~65 hours a week in total, and still I find plentiful time for reading (mostly a few hours a day after I wake up.)
Of course I have no friends nor family, but it's certainly possible. Internet usage has to go way down though.
>>
Working full-time ishell. I leave my room at 7:30 and get home at 6:30. That leaves me like 4 - 5 hours to eat, defecate, wash dishes, perform house chores and then read etc. But in that time I am just restless and exhausted and get like 10 pages read before feeling sleepy. I wish I had put more thought into what I wanted to be when I was 18, or at least tried to get a job in the literature world rather than some irrelevant mundane shit that makes me depressed every single day.

what work do you do?
>>

I worked full-time, went to school full-time (finished with a 3.1), had time to drink with my friends a few times a week, and I still managed to finish a book for fun every couple weeks.

I cannot even comprehend how people struggle to read while only working a full time job.

>I cannot even comprehend how people struggle to read while only working a full time job.

Because what OP really meant to say is "How it is even possible to reconcile reading while working full time job and masturbating to porn for 6 hours a night?"

>Of course I have no friends nor family

not worth it

i'd rather be NEET and happy.
>>
>>8139693
>NEET
>happy

How achievable is this really? how do you do it?
>>

i actually have a job but it's free enough because i'm not a wageslave and have enough time for myself

i dont see the point in having many jobs and making more cash but just being devoid of friendship and family is to be unhappy, in my opinion.

You can be happy being NEET like those who get some money from the government and shit

of course it's being a leech, but at least you have time to improve yourself and live your life, instead of working so much hours a day without any kind of emotional contact with anyone

By commuting.

>implying you can appreciate a work of literature when surrounded by other people in a loud, bright, warm and claustrophobic environment. Literally suicide-tier.
>>

Sort of agreed. I always have a book with me but I only manage to read it when I'm en route to somewhere or arriving early etc.
>>
Depends. When I worked mornings I felt like I had no time at all, and I really didnt
But now I work nights and I go in at around 1, now I can wake up at 7 have a nice quite morning, do anything i want until noon then Im offf to work.
Its all about that time management
>>
wtf I work full time and go to the gym and jog 5 days a week and I have loads of time to read. you guys are retarded.

It really isn't hard. I read about 30 pages a day while at work. I read about 10ish pages when I get home, about 40-70 in the late evening and another 10-20 in bed. During the weekends if I'm not busy I can easily read over 100 pages each day. That's up to 700 pages a week. That's War & Peace in two weeks.

This is while working full-time and having other out of work activities. Just stop wasting time on stupid stuff you do just because you are bored. I only come to 4chan in the mornings before work while eating breakfast.

>time to improve yourself and live your life
The whole point of self improvement is gain the right character to engage life in a deliberately ethical manner. A good person is judged both on upon their inner life but also, and more importantly upon the way they interact with other people and the world around them. I have no time for people who have a PhD level of philosophy if they are just a terrible person. NEETdom is (not inherently nor always) the intentional draining of either those directly around you or of society as a whole. It is a lifestyle that gives you the time to cultivate being a good person but prevents you from being one.

I worked full time at a machine shop and I brought books to read during breaks/lunch. My coworkers thought it was weird and I got my books all dirty but I didn't give a fuck.

Also read before going to sleep for those superior literary dreams m8
>>
you stop spending time shitposting, watching netflix, browsing fb/reddit, etc and sit down and read you brainlet.
>>
>>8140516
>brought books to job
>not just epubs of any book you want on your phone
>>
>>8139653

How come you're working 2 jobs? Saving up for something? The reason I ask is because I'm jobless and weirdly jealous of it right now because I can't find a decent job.
>>

>he doesn't read on the shitter
>he doesn't read during lunchbreak
>he doesn't have audio books to listen to while going to and from work

C'mon man.
>>
>>8139647
Put ebooks on your phone, read whenever you're free to look at your phone
>>
>>8140577
>he doesn't read on the shitter

What the fuck is wrong with you people? When I go to shit I go to shit. I don't do 30 minutes before I can go just to sit there. I go when I need to go and I get it over with in 30 seconds.
