Good stuff
Ambient artists like
Jacob Kirkegaard (most reccommended on this list)
Kassel Jaeger
Lussuria (2nd highest reccommended)
super minimal shit from Prurient like the Annihilationist cassette
any track off of Exploring Jezebel's "Penis Torture Chamber" (every track is a 45-min track of almost constant, unchanging drone)
FUCKING SILENCE

Dadrock and high school music. You should only listen to BGM or non-emotional music you know very well, otherwise you'll start paying attention to the music instead of the book

My music is the humming of a large Diesel engine idling. The larger the engine, the lower its idling rpm will be and the more pleasing the low frequency of its mind-soothing sound. The hard part is not raising too much the suspicion of the railway workers towards the weirdo neckbeard sitting with his faggy book by the tracks, awfully close to the locomotive.

I hated playing that song in band, it was the third most tedious and uninspiring piece I've ever played in high school
Brian Eno's ambient work is perfect for reading
