How do y'all get ideas for writing? I wanna write a short story, and I get all the stuff about improving my writing (practise, etc), but I can't think of anything to write about.

paralysis by analysis.

Tbh best bet is to just write nonsense. Eventually the world will start showing up as material. you'll get sparks all day-- hitting the cafe, driving, etc. + reading other fiction.

It is a small hurdle, takes a couple months. After this you'll have the opposite problem where you're paralyzed by too many ideas.

Get off internet/phone also

Watching this faggot get owned by Peter Hitchens was pretty satisfying.

I just do. But I get more ideas than I can actually use so I always have like 10-20 things that I haven't written and probably never will for every one that I finish at any given moment.

It's pretty interesting how Peter is the exact opposite of his brother. Not even talking about atheism/Christianity, even on specific issues like the Iraq war they seem to diverge.

There was a time when I loved Christopher Hitchens. Barring Iraq, he's so witty and edgy and amazing and brilliant and why can't those dumb plebs realise how brilliant atheism is?

God, what a wanker. Give me one Quaker over a hundred Christopher Hitchens any day of the week.
