Near as I can tell, she has multiple things for people to hate, so it's like a paella of hatred. There's something in there for everybody. I hate her because I'm a Christian and her way of thinking is basically Satanic, but I know there are lots of atheists that hate her too.

She mistakes integrity for a capitalistic trait when it is clearly apolitical. She conflates hundreds of ideas and concepts in the infamous speech sections of her books none of which are particularly thought out.
She basically also assumes that the rich people in her stories are the only competent people at their companies and thus 100% responsible for their operation. Absolute garbage.

Speak for yourself, I hate the literature. I powered through most of AS during a road trip and just had to put it down, it was relentless and numbing. Dany's thoughts were inane and her moments of success or triumph felt like reading about a lizard person. Reardon was autistic as well and I'm stunned at the lack of subtlety with the message. I'm cool with whatever message but there are multiple lines in the book that are unironic straight up "the boring and poor are holding back the intelligent people with the fire to create new things and make a better world".

Atlas Shrugged is several political screeds, including a 70 page (3 hour verbal) speech, strung together by a vague semblance of plot, all to promote a political ideology that is essentially "Somalia in the 90s."
I mean at least in Starship Troopers, the political stuff got broken up with some actual debate and some battles, and was promoting fascism, a actual real political system.

I've read Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal and The Virtue of Selfishness.
