I teared up a bit the other day in The Brief History of the Dead, but the last book to really make me cry was probably The Age of Innocence. The one that made me cry the most was likely The House of Mirth.

Honestly, I've never cried from a book. The Death of a Salesman and of Mice and Men had me breathing heavy. But the only time I've really cried lately has been when when i was either writing a poem or piece of prose that hit very close to home.
Writing has actually helped me through my father's death and friend's suicide, made me understand it as a part of my life and not the end of it. I find it much easier to be honest with myself when i am alone in a quiet room while writing on paper than talking to someone. And i recommend it to anyone who is currently trying to get over or work through something.
