I'm reading infinite jest and am about 200 pages in. The last book I read was catch-22.

Catch-22 made me feel very happy about living hedonistically--fucking women I barely know, drinking, smoking. Infinite jest kind of addresses these topics with a wink and nudge--they're good, but fleeting and shallow.

Mostly, I'm stricken by the impact of literature on everyday thinking. Does anyone else have some similar feels to share?
