Would DFW like him?
I dont know, who is he, and is he sincere?
i hate you, you are destructing /lit/
>>8018362
A famous Russian tennis player.
>>8018397
hes SERBIAN
>>8018494
>ich
Whatever, all Serbs descended from Russians anyway.
No, he destroyed tennis as an aesthetic sport.
>>8018362
some Bosnian tennis player
>>8018362
hes an albanian squash umpire
No. If Federer is the game's Michael Jordan, then Joke is the game's Kobe.
>>8018361
i feel like he wrote him into IJ, as insane as it sounds. whose the dude whobanged hal's mom? hes also a robot is he not? joko is a robozombie, no fun watching him kill tennis.
>>8018508
How so?
>>8019051
He's a pure reflective player, almost always exploiting some opponent weakness, having as few unforced errors as possible and staying 5 meters behind the baseline to return every possible winner with his elasticity. No denying he is not good at it or that this is easier, but it's like watching Pong, basically.
>>8019077
Not to mention that, unlike Federer and Nadal, he has no weak shot, is good at every court and never chokes.
No.
It's funny, Federer has zero charisma and is a boring guy outside of court, while Djoker is a """funny""", charismatic guy and a comedian, yet on court it's the opposite, Djoker is a boring, uninteresting robot that is ruining tennis for everyone. Zero grace or elegance that Fed has.
>>8019087
>and never chokes
RG's final sends its regards
>>8019087
>never chokes
thats a good thing tho
How could anyone ever watch tennis? Seems like boring shit for manchildren.
A.Murray ATP#1 when?
>>8019125
LOL his ankles will never take him #1.
T.Fritz to the top
>>8019124
I know this is bait but you have to play it then you'll understand it.
I'm not playing tennis anymore and i don't watch it anymore.
But when you play it you really feel it.
>>8019148
>But when you play it you really feel it.
I wonder if this is the case for all sports
When I played lacrosse I loved watching college games, now they just seem boring.
>>8019104
Federer's virtue is that he is boring. He is a pure sportsman. He lives for the game.
Is he the Magnus Carlsen of tennis? I've heard the same shit said about him too: exploits opponents, no weak spots, always plays it safe, waits for opponents mistakes.
>>8019195
Why do people shit on him for this?
I mean, how is any of that bad? He just knows how to win the game.
>>8020104
It destroys any sense of competition, people like having favorites and taking sides, sense of rivalries are probably the biggest thing in sports.
>>8019195
Kind of, but then Nadal was seen like this and Djokovic outdid him at it, which was incredible.

> Djokovic is so consistently good that I find it difficult to follow because I'm such a pleb
> LOL WHY DOES HE TRY TO WIN EVERY GAME THAT RUINS THE SPORT OF TENNIS
lol Tennis fans
Just graduate to weightlifting, already, the sport by which all others are measured.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ojp1Q1qZHY
>>8020133
Nobody said he ruined tennis, the guy said his style is not pleasant to watch.
>>8020151
weightlifting isn't a sport
>>8019104
Djokovic has no charisma, he acts funny but in a robotic way, he does the all the impersonations that Roddick did years ago and has a shouty loud slav family with a dad that should shut-up during matches.
>>8020154
djoko's style is machine like dominance. I think it's one of the greatest. I think people just think he's a cunt and think federer is nice.
along witht he fact that fed's style is probably THE goat
>>8020158
it's objectively the most athletic sport there is
>>8020154
There was an implication there that having a watchable style is a big part of being a good tennis player. I don't know how you missed it. (>>8018508)
And I'm not disagreeing with that, I'm just saying that if Djoko is a leader of a new aesthetic movement in tennis, it doesn't mean that his style is bad, it means your tastes are going out of fashion.
>>8020154
> he's actively trying to win this match!
> this is not pleasant on mine eyes!
this is how you know tennis isn't an actual sport
it's more comparable to finger painting
a true sport wouldn't be better to watch if the athletes are worse
>>8020168
it's objectively not a sport.
it's in the same category as chess and competitive gaming
>>8018362
A Bulgarian racquetball master
>>8020173
I shouldn't have to say, Tennis is like Starcraft compared to Weightlifting.
There's no discernible athleticism.
>>8020180
could well be true.
Weightlifting remains not a sport though friend
What kind of programming goes into elite tennis players?
10 push-ups a month? 1/4 squats?
or do they find random people off the streets to come in and entertain bored white people with sweaters around their necks?
>>8020183
if the greeks had barbells, they'd for sure have trained the snatch and the clean and jerk
which coincidentally has the most carryover into the sport of the discus throw
weightlifting is the ur-sport
>>8020188
yeh,you pretty much just conceded it's for training/help towar something else
it's like calling do 50 star jumps a sport or playing Counter Strike to unwind a sport
>>8020187
I play div 1 tennis and we all strength training
mostly sumo-deadlifts
but our training is mostly high reps 12-20 rep range
fed is strong af but majority of us just don't lift for aesthetics like bodybuilders
it's all about performance you dumbass /fit/zen
>>8020104
they're just idiots that idolize federer because of MUH HISTORY/WIN STREAK/BESTWHOEVERLIVED, those same people also vehemently hated nadal for the same "destroying the sport" reasoning while he was the only one challenging him.
>>8020173
i like cycling is that also not a sport?
>>8018361
I have a feeling DFW would hate him.
>>8020410
not even close
>>8020377
No we hate novak and nadal because they're roided up fakers

>>8020104
Sports are ultimately entertainment. If you don't entertain then you are bad at your sport.
It's like music, you can have technically perfect Chinese kids without a soul that you don't want to listen to but if some old Lousiana cotton picker starts wailing on his piece of shit guitar everyone is digging it.
>>8020434
post proofs or fuck off butthurt fedbabby
I like Djo but he will never be GOAT until he wins RG. And as much as I love Fed, I don't think Djo deserves the negativity he gets.
DFW would probably come up with some convoluted reason to dislike him
>>8020545
that's not a good comparison at all.
and music doesn't work that way anyhow.

>>8020749
Yes it does.
People would rather listen to Chief Keef than a technically perfect, albeit soulless, Gook kid.
>>8019104
>Federer has zero charisma and is a boring guy outside of court
No, he's not. Being a nice guy, who's serious and always makes a salient point whenever he's interviewed does not make you boring. Likewise, dancing with Serena Williams and eating the grass doesn't make you interesting. There's a reason why the crowd supports Federer in virtually every match he plays, wherever he plays, and it's not only to do with his game.
>>8020925
True, fuck Djokovic, that stupid jerk.
>>8018362
he's a australian football hero
>>8020973
It's funny, over here in Serbia Federer is portrayed as the bad guy.
>>8018362
he's a famous slovenian cricket player

>>8018362
looks like that Iroquois Lacrosse player.

>>8021977
Surely you jest.
I have a feeling that Slavs are the only one who like Djokovic.

>>8024316
seriously
there's strategy on when and how to attack
>>8024316
Have you ever been on a bike for more than 30 minutes? There's a reason road cyclist athletes peak at age 30-35. Raw strength is only a part of the equation. Cadence, technique, mentality and teamwork all become crucial factors.
>>8024445
My granma makes such killer ajvar
>>8024735
How do they attack? It's all about being faster than the other guys.
>>8024445
kekd
>>8025002
not really. most of a bike race is spent at 50% of full power, as they are commonly over 150km long. nobody can sprint at 70km/h the entire way. a rider must know the circuit beforehand to understand when to break from the main group of bikes (the peloton). then there's wind, elevation, rain, terrain, visibility; all affects the strategy and might even make it impossible for some type of body types to win at all.
on top of it all, multi-stage races like the grand tours are ran in teams. so someone may intentionally break away early to taunt others into following him and getting tired while other team members stay fresh in the back
>>8025077
>might even make it impossible for some type of body types to win at all
Poor Sagan...
>>8020334
>it's all about performance you dumbass /fit/zen
Yes, and Tennis is basically NBA-tier "performance."
Inflexible, scrawny types with bad posture are acclaimed as "elite athletes" and "best in the world."
