Because a poet can choose to write about whatever inspires them. Sure, waning love and autumn n shit have been done many, many, many times before. That doesn't mean anyone, particularly someone of Yeats' stature, doesn't have anything interesting to say about it. Don't dislike it because someone told you it wasn't cool to like poems about waning love and autumn n shit anymore.
