Its just a good story. I dont know what you want from a book but it's just a good fucking story filled with interesting questions about modern life, sarcasm, self deprecation, drugs, trivia, wild imaginations, high jinks, complexity, deep characters, slapstick comedy, alienation, and emotion. Yea its long winded and indulgent but thats the fun of it. Books like infinite jest are the reasons I read, to tell a good story.
