Pretty much anywhere that isn't Waterstones. Charity shops, eBay, Amazon, book depository.
My local charity shsops are awful but if I got to London I go to Camden Market to visit their used book shops. Amazing stuff to be found their. I picked up a copy of Bleak House from about 1900 for 70p.
Church charity shops.

If you're ever up toward Cambridge you can find some pretty impressive stuff in charity shops. First editions, 100 year old books in good shape, all sorts of stuff. All of the Greek and other philosophy memes you could ever want.

Mostly from local used stores, or independent stores whenever I am somewhere with a good store. Amazon if I need it for class.

You posted it.
Best place for me to buy books as bookshops here in Australia are/can be expensive.
Just saw this one. Thank you very much for Bookdepository.
