It's a sweet heartfelt book that's also funny. Probably prefer it to Slaughterhouse just for Mercury.

I'm with you. I prefered Cat's Cradle and Slaughterhouse-Five. I liked Sirens of Titan, but I can't say it was amazing.
Show's off Vonnegut's wit, it's a really funny book. Doesn't really touch you on the same level as Slaughterhouse 5 does though.

The more you read of Vonnegut, the easier it is to recognize his patterns. Meaning, I read it after finishing several others, and I was disappointed by his thematic repetition.
