Visually it's a remarkable example of animations but the story in the film is lacking. Diana Wynne Jones is a great author all her books were great. She lived near me before she died and damn son was she crazy

I think the book is alright. I haven't read any other DWJ so i might not have the context but it's a pretty average children's story imo.

I'm a Miyazaki fan but Howl's Moving Castle is a culmination of his most prominent flaws.
